Seperate HC bill passed in Rajya Sabha
|

Agartala:Bill seeking separate High Courts in three NE states including Tripura was passed unopposed in Upper House of the Parliament, Rajya Sabha today. Earlier it got nod in Loksabha. Now the Presidential approval is necessary to initiate the actual process of setting up separate High Courts. After many years of movement, finally the state is going to have the court in the state while now it comes under Gauhati High Court.

Rs 58 crore tax notice on Ramdev trusts
|
New Delhi, May 18 (IBNS): Yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s trusts have been asked to pay Rs 58 crore in taxes over profits from the sale of their ayurvedic medicines, media reports said.
The tax exemption to trusts controlled by Ramdev, who had championed the cause of black money last year, has apparently been revoked.
